Why is it when truly sever weather hits the area, it is late at night when I'm in bed? Tonight some "severe weather" was moving through the area and I decided to break out my new Flip Video camcorder
and catch some of it on (is this really the right word?) film.
The first video didn't turn out that great. Mainly due to the fact that it is always dark looking out that side of my balcony.
The second one turned out a little better. It is still kind of grainy, but still better than what I would have recorded with my cell phone.
I think the camera will be better in the daylight. I mainly bought it for when I take day trips and want to catch something on (here's the word I was looking for earlier) video. Not that it will probably happen that much, but still for something about the size of a cigarette pack, it's not like it will take up a lot of space in a backpack.
Oh, and for the severe weather. What a bunch of bullocks. The most exciting part was about 20 minutes after it had passed. My power went off for all of two seconds.
