There's a meme going around FaceBook that I thought I would go a head and share here. You're supposed to list 25 random things that people don't know about yourself. You then tag 25 of your friends asking them to do the same thing.

So, here's the 25 things about me.

1. I have a hard time opening up and sharing info about myself with others
2. Having said that, here goes nothing. When I was 21 years old I lost a boyfriend in a Navy plane crash
3. I was watching the plane take off when it happened
4. My favorite movie is "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
5. When I first saw "Breakfast at Tiffany's" I wanted to have a life similar to Holly Golightly's
6. I like almost everything Hello Kitty related
7. I miss my best friend Johnny who lives in Chicago, and Dan who lives in Ft. Myers
8. I don't fly up to see Johnny as often as I would like
9. The last time I saw Dan was when I was the best-man at his wedding in Lake Tahoe
10. My favorite European city so far is Amsterdam
11. A chemical addiction cost me a job at one point
12. Another addiction almost cost me a job
13. Trying to stop smoking has been harder for me than giving up the other addictions I've had
14. While I have no problem traveling to most cities alone, New York City has always intimidated me. I don't want to go alone the first time
15. Another place that I would love to go to, but can't find someone to go with me is the Burning Man Festival
16. My favorite band is The B-52's
17. When I go to a bar with friends my favorite drink is Crown and Coke
18. I went to college to get a degree in theatre arts
19. I sometimes miss not being involved in the theatre
20. I was once engaged to a woman while in college
21. I have only had three serious long term relationships
22. The first one ended with him being in the plane crash from item 1. The second was with my best friend Johnny. The third was with a much younger guy who had just come out of the closet
23. I've been afraid to get involved with anyone else because I'm scared of it ending
24. I often wonder what is my place in the gay community
25. It's taken me three days to compile this list

There you go. That was bloody hard as hell for me to do. It took me three days to complete the list.

My Gayest Look

As I'm sure most everyone knows, Jay Leno was a major douche bag when Ryan Phillppe was on The Tonight Show on March 20, 2008. Jay kept urging Ryan to look into the camera and pretend it was his "gay lover...Billy Bob, who has just ridden in shirtless from Wyoming."

This of course led to an awkward and uncomfortable interview for Phillipe.

This has led to a web site called My Gayest Look being created. It's a place where GLBT persons and allies can send in a picture to let Mr. Leno know what we think about his disrespectful behavior that night. You can also check out a video of the interview and decide for yourself, was Jay right or wrong for doing what he did.

This is my gayest look.

I Thought I Was Pretty Tame

I know that this isn't really family friendly blog, but I never thought it would rate as NC-17.

The following words are what got me the rating.

Given that one of my favorite words is fuck, I rarely use it often on here. I thought at worse I would be on the border of PG-13 and R. I know this is a silly little internet meme, but it still kind of surprised me.

According to this test created by the Harvard Computer Society, I'm 75% Dixie. The part that I found amusing was the full results.

75% Dixie.  Your neck must be a little pink!

Oh if they only knew how true the pink part was. OK, lame joke, but I still chuckled at how they decided to phrase the results.
